ABOUT THIS ATTORNEY
Marcia Pevey, a native Texan and adopted Houstonian, has been actively practicing law for over 15 years in the Houston community.
Ms. Pevey graduated from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business with a degree in Marketing and Management. Thereafter she attended the University of Houston Law Center graduating in the top 15% of her class and was inducted into Phi Delta Phi National Honor Society.
During Law School, Ms. Pevey worked for the 190th District Court briefing cases presented for Summary Judgment and the 14th Court of Appeals drafting opinions.
Since law school, Ms. Pevey has worked for the Probate Courts as an appointee representing Wards in Guardianship proceedings and as Guardian Ad Litem reporting to the Court the Ward's best interest in contested matters. Ms. Pevey has represented clients in trust matters, estate administration, creating wills, and small estate planning. Ms. Pevey has also worked in the Juvenile Courts representing Juveniles in criminal matters and representing children that are in the Court's protection because of abuse or neglect. By working for the Courts, Ms. Pevey has gained the experience needed to guide her clients through the legal process.
Ms. Pevey has been certified in Elder Law and Probate for 15 years. She had both her father and her mother-in-law residing in her home in their declining years and therefore understands the problems, emotions, and solutions involved in caring and providing for elderly relatives and friends.
Ms. Pevey's professional passion is problem solving finding solutions to the unique needs of the elderly, disabled, or incapacitated, and helping families implement these solutions.
